More detailed information about the snowpack:

We have fallen below the snow depth which allows for Over-the-Snow Vehicle travel in the BWRA. There is less than 30cm of consistent coverage across our landscape. This means effective at mid-night we will be CLOSING the BWRA to snowmobiling. Several melt cycles have consumed all but just a small fraction of snow left for traveling on. Currently any snow that remains has become impenetrable ice & conditions are very dnagerous. We did receive 1cm of new snow from the current storm, it sits atop a solid bed surface.
