More detailed information about the snowpack:

Variable conditions overall.  Leavitt Lake junction snow stake showing about 10".  Continuous snow starting around 8,600'.  Height of snow at Lake level (~9560') in open areas ranged from 35-50 cm's and up to 75cm's in shadier, timbered areas.  Southerly aspects and lower elevations have little to no snow.  Snow in the alpine has been heavily wind affected and many firm surfaces were observed.  In more protected areas at tree line found pockets of softer snow depending on aspect and local terrain features. No new avalanches were observed.
